The observed luminescence response of the Flare Sceptre exhibits a remarkable complexity dependent upon several factors. Initial stimulation – frequently through a pulsed laser origin – generates a rapid cascade of internal electron transitions. These transitions, in turn, generate photons with a broad colour signature, initially dominated by a
